It was going very well until I dropped my chain after the dip with 500 meters to go, lost a few minutes untangling it. I was in the big chainring the whole time. I can't figure out how it happened - must have skipped off the cassette when I was shifting while climbing out of the saddle. No words can describe my disappointment...

That's a tough one Dean. See if you can let it go, and maybe turn the disappointment into motivation for next stage.

Think "stomach full of anger..."

Oh...what a bummer. Good luck tomorrow. Pulling for you.
Graham Garber W.
We should talk prior to the start of tomorrow.

Dean - Tough break. You can make up the time!!
Joe D.
Aaargh. That sucks!

Yeah, there are some things in life (lots, really) that we just have no control over. At least you didn't crash. Enjoy the next two stages and rip it up!
Dean P.
Thanks. This was a tough one to get over, but today is a new day. Looks like I had a 15-second "virtual yellow jersey" lead when it happened. Yes, that was me that made the "GMSR TT Start to Dip" segment, just to know what could have been!
Greg P.
Good luck today. Watching navy v ND here in Germany. Not pretty!
how'd it go?
