Same exact time? funny story. We were coming back from lunch and drove up Pumphouse right after you started.Saw you from a distance and said to my wife, "that guy is going for a KOM...he started way too fast...hey! that's Brian!

How funny! I ran into Jason coming up Caldwell Mill as I was on my way out. I turned around a couple minutes later and then headed back over to Dolly Ridge and over to the Colonnade to get over to Pumphouse. Then as I was taking the fun little hilly detour back behind Blue Lake Dr, I could see Jason from across the lake starting his run at the KOM coming down Blue Lake Dr. I guess he must have had about a 15 second head start because I didn't catch him until near the top. He was flying! I'm going to be doing some detailed analysis of the power file on my blog. I want to figure this climb out ... I really think it pays to go super hard at the bottom on this one because the gradient is so much less steep at the top. But you have to have enough left in the tank to get over that last rise at the top. I thought for sure I had beaten my time from Wednesday, but I think I was going too slow by the end.

wow that is some crazy power...solid work! i'd be interested in seeing your mean maximal power curve in golden cheetah. how does that stack up with your best ever power outputs for ~2:25?
i think i want to go try pumphouse again tomorrow. after thinking about it and hearing how you and others are attacking it, i think i can knock some time off...we'll see!
