impressive
Adam Ki J.
jesus run over water!
Ted K.
The crappiest part is that this was an awesome, arcing bridge the entire way. So the elevation, which reads zero, was actually kind of large.

beautiful views the entire way across as well. should have run to the aircraft carrier lol. its always neat to watch the ships creeping their way in as well.

Yeah, Strava likes to put elevation in their own hands. I always have problems with my climbs being measured short, and there's also a bridge in my area, and when I run it, the elevation shoots down to the water 120 feet below. I wish it would just go by what Garmin Training Center reads...or at least the altimeter in some of the forerunners

@Ted, sure it was. We believe you.

You should try trail running. All the cool kids are doing it.
Ted K.
Just went for a quick jog today, whereupon I was immediately reminded one reason I don't like to run: chafed nipples. Ooowwwwww.
Ted K.
@Bobby Coble, if you can, get a GPS. Their elevation profiles are incredible accurate as compared to a phone.
@Everyone who mentioned it, no thanks - I don't do triathlons.
Ubaldo L.
oh yes, it's terrible for nipples :( You can try with a sticking plaster, it helps!
Pete L.
@ ted, slather some chamois cream or aquaphor on those bad boys any you'll be good to go for at least 13.1 miles with no issues.
Harvey K.
it's that time of year when running feels better than biking.....unless you love to wear tights

Ted, I do use a GPS. I use a Garmin Forerunner 405; however, Strava throws the GPS elevation data out the door and replaces it with their own, which is often less accurate. The only case in which they won't do that is if you're using a 910xt, if I'm not mistaken.

i have been running for the past week for the first time in a year and i am soo sore!
yes, running!!!
