First ride on new bike. Trip computer doesn't have cadence yet so all climbs done by "feel". Was very conscious of being ultra cautious on descents & didn't feel as if I was going as fast as usual on old bike yet Strava shows personal best for descents. Obviously, a better handling bike gives rider more confidence :-)
Spent first 3 weeks of December doing about 13 test rides of various makes & models before settling on this one. Same 11-28 cassette as Black Avanti but 50/34 at front instead of 50/39/30 so I've lost my lowest gear. I'm hoping the legs will grow stronger ;-)
