I am jelous. I grew up right around the corner about a mile from where the Mothballs Crit is done at research park. Grew up riding Gibralter Rd and Old San Marcos Pass Rd as Jr. Oh do I miss Goleta, Ca. On Eastern NC mountains now.....in other words a lot of climbs up bridges and overpasses. Keep it up brother!

Yeah, the riding in SB is amazing, I'm very blessed to be able to spend the winters there. I can't imagine growing up there, how do you leave?

you join the USMC and do 4 years and get stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC. It was great training and being on a Junior Team that I am not sure exists anymore....although I think the Bermant Development Team is still there. It was great times and great climbs. The first ride I ever went on was on a crap bike, no bike shorts and it was UP Gibralter Rd. I finished and got a taste for MTNS. It is what it is. There is a great group of riders out of the Bicycle Gallery here in Jacksonville, NC that tolerate the fat guy on the 25 year old Mondonico Diamond rebuild with spare parts. Got to start somewhere...even if it's starting over.
