BM They're more ergo so I like the feel better than the older ones, plus they have really positive shift action. Haven't tried the Shimano 9000 yet. SS - I do really like the solid, crisp feel of the Sram shifting. I understand it's not everyone's favorite, but when I'm in the red zone it's nice to know I'm not going to mis-shift. Perhaps your mechanic isn't adjusting your Sram properly if it's noisy and rough.

Nope, it's not the mechanic . The fact is, Shimano is smoother. Sram will figure it out someday, and they've gotten better, but they aren't there yet.
