What are your thoughts on the Spark now that you've gotten a few rides under your belt? I believe there are two BB settings (low/high) correct? Have you gotten a chance to switch between the two to determine how it changes up the ride?
Chris S.
My first time on it was the CCCX race and my experience was horrible I was totally unmotivated because I thought the suspension wasn't working with the twinlock and I honestly was a bit frustrated. Come to find out both the front and rear cables needed to be adjusted and the differance is night and day. As well I adjusted from the Low setting which gives it a little slacker head angle and lower BB to the High setting which is a bit more aggressive and I like it a lot better. When full open the bike is very comfortable and still is very efficient with pedal bob in chattery areas, but as soon as your climbing or the terrain gets smoother just hit the lock out and the bike getts super stiff and wants to go. I LOVE IT now, you can stand and pound and the bike is just all there ready to go now, then when you start going down just release the lock out and the bike is amazing, easy to turn, feels stable its no the most plush but I have read with some air adjustments it can get plush pretty easily which is when the lock out is really noticed Going from super plush to fully stiff front and rear. By far my best experience on a FS 29er. And I got it down to 22lbs... large FS 29er at 22lbs... just scary.
