top effort :)

Ha ha Dan, that's okay, I'm sure Brendon will be going back to collect it again very soon. Besides, I only started my effort at Bimburra Rd and there are 2 other segments that start way further back that I wasn't aware of, owned by Baldy and Brendon... Not sure I like the climb now: the ramps make it hard to get a good rhythm, unlike say Bonnet or Grasstree. Nice and short though :-)
Daniel W.
indeed i think ill head out there tonight fresh see what i can do on it! :P
Iain S.
yeah the climb is gay :P
Daniel W.
because you dont have KOM :P
Mark P.
and he was held back by me
Marc D.
Mark, welcome to Strava and I don't think that your story is quite right there -- you led me out all the way to the base of the climb so I could have a nice restful ride there.

Kalang Cat 4, My new house is going up in Bimburra Rd. The daily commute will contain this climb. Altough might have to sit on the trainer for 10 minutes before departing to get properly warmed up.
Daniel W.
ah nice looks like we will have a new KOM challenger!
David O.
Not likely Dan, I too heavy.
Marc D.
Dogga, I think you have a pretty high chance on taking the KOM as you can hit the ramps hard and then TT the false flats. But if you start with 10 minutes on the trainer I shall laugh at you. At least do 10 minutes down the road and back and get the km in :-)
Daniel W.
You got the power its not that steap :P And yea ride to the bottom of tolsa so you get that segement to ;)
David O.
I was taking the piss about the traininer : )
Altough a warm up is definately required. Anaerobic efforts at that time of the day without suffcient warm is asking for trouble. I am so itching to race again after Saturday it was so much fun. In about a month would nice, after I have gained some form again.
Iain S.
in just over a month is grindelwald :)
Daniel W.
Is grindelwald a sat or sun?
Iain S.
pretty sure its a sat :)
Marc D.
Iain, no comment on Risdon Mini TT Reverse? I was actually quite happy with that one, had no idea where the segment ended, but I felt good sitting on 45-47 km/h along the flat in calm conditions. The ramp at the end destroyed me though!
Daniel W.
hope its a saturday! so i can race!
Iain S.
hahha yes well i wont be getting that time back, the bit at the end is always painful :P

Great Work Marc. Lindisfarne Hills for me is hard. Walk out front door climb straight up Marion Place, lactic acid is a killer by the time I roll down Begonia and start the next climb. Pissed of too many cars going up Begonia at end of my commute now, so coming along Kaoota instead and off roading a short way.
Marc D.
Matt, thanks :) Out of the door and up a hill always hurts!
Brendon J.
Now I've got to go and somehow find 15 seconds on that climb!
Marc D.
Brendon, I know, I know, I should have pushed harder and made a bigger gap. 15 seconds just isn't enough of a buffer, really... ;-)
