  • 3rd year in a row running the North Face Endurance Challenge 50 miler and California International Marathon double race weekend. Finished with a time of 4:26:56. My crotch is extremely chaffed!!!
  • A cold chilly recovery run. Finished the Run Wild Santa Francisco 5k in 23:37 and earned a legit Santa hat!
  • For the 3rd year in a row I took first place in the cross-dresser division with a time of 45:19!
  • Ran a fun warm-up 5k race this morning called Dash to the Finish Line. All 5k runners finish under the famous NYC Marathon arch in Central Park. Finished in 22:12. Heading to Tavern on the Green to carbo-load for tomorrow!
  • Ran the fall classic, Dick Collins Firetrails 50 miler today and just barely squeezed out a course PR with a finish time of 9:20:58. Great way to spend a Saturday!
  • Took 10 days off. Feels good to be back out!!!
  • Scenic and tough! Ran my first race in The state of Washington: Cascade Crest Classic 100 mile Endurance Run. Finished in 28 hours, 49 minutes, and 26 seconds. I recommend this race to anyone looking for a tough WS100 and/or HR100 qualifier. The course, organizers, and volunteers are fantastic!
  • Ran in the new Stinson ATR's today. Great bouncy shoe that offers a lot of protection. The toe guard on the ATR's is not as good as the Mafate Speed's, but is a big improvement over the Stinson EVO's. Traction is great (Same as the Stinson EVO) but not as aggressive as the new tread on the Mafate Speed. The upper on the ATR's is more breathable. Overall, this shoe would work great on technical and non-technical trail. I will be putting these through the ringer at Cascade Crest 100 on Saturday.
  • Running above the city.
  • Score on the liquor store floor!!!
  • Test drove the new Hoka Huaka on Mt. Tam today. Light weight like the Clifton but wider. The shoe did not perform well on steep technical singletrack (no traction). But the shoe did well on most fire roads and all paved roads. This would be a great shoe for races like AR50, TRT and RDL100.
  • Ran my first marathon of the year and finished with a time of 3:28:22!
  • Ed and Andrea approaching Lone Pine, CA... mile 120 of Badwater 135. 33 hours so far on his feet! Just 15 miles until the finish with a 5,000 foot climb up to Whitney Portal! Go Ed!!!
  • Ran the Marin 415k 5k race and finished in a sprint with a fellow runner. Finish time was 22:59.
