From the hospital bed to the finish line: Cycling has saved my life! I have been 100% Pacemaker dependent for 30 years. In 2010 I had open heart surgery and lung surgery. Five months after leaving the hospital I crossed the finish line of a 50 mile race. On my one year anniversary I completed a 100 mile century ride. At 14 months after surgery I raced and completed the 206 mile LOTOJA Classic single day race. 2012 is turning out to be a great year and I look forward to racing LOTOJA (Logan, UT to Jackson Hole, WY) again!
