ColVelo Transit Ride: Colchester - Saxmundham / 20/12/2014

A festive finish to 2014, and a ride with a difference. On the eve of the winter solstice we'll be riding out into Suffolk via the coastal town of Aldeburgh for a late breakfast, early lunch, then pedalling a little further in land to Saxmundham for a drink or two before catching the train back to Colchester. Our first Transit Ride will allow us to get a good ride in on some new roads without having to use up valuable kilometres getting in and out of Colchester. With festive excess hitting it's peak around this weekend, we appreciate this may put people off a long ride on the Saturday morning. This ride will be conducted at a very gentlemanly pace and will not be a pace line exercise! So strap on your saddlebag, pack a mince pie and a hipflask, and join us for a festive ride to the coast. Transit Rides will become a feature of ColVelo excursions in the future. Be a pioneer and join the first edition! Hope to see you out there. **Trains from Saxmundham are 57 minutes past the hour every hour until late into the evening. Ticket price should be in the region of £10 if purchased on the day.**
