Mission Statement
The Hercules Cycling Club was organized to promote the enjoyment of cycling in our local community. We are a collection of cyclists from different backgrounds and skill levels that organize fun group rides open to everyone, and support events and activities that encourage cycling. Safety comes first on our rides, and no one gets dropped, left behind, or left out.
Our mission is to:
*Promote a healthy and active lifestyle through cycling.
*Create awareness and educate the community about the benefits of cycling.
*Provide a safe and friendly environment for cycling outings and events.
*Our rides and events are open, but we hope you will become a member of the HCC!

HCC ROUTE RIDE RATING SYSTEM
***ALL RIDES ARE BASED ON THE FOLLOWING THREE CRITERIA***
1. Pace or average rolling speed: Rated T (Touring 11-14 mph) to F (Fast 17-19+ mph)
2. Terrain: Average feet of climbing per mile: Rated 1 Dynamite-Easy and Flat (10-30 ft/mile) to 5 Dynamite-Epic (90+ ft/mile)

RIDE PACE DETAILS: Rolling average miles per hour of entire route
T 11-14 TOURING
M 13-15 MODERATE
MB 14-16 MODERATE-BRISK
B 16-18 BRISK
F 17-19+ FAST
TERRAIN DETAILS: Dynamite (Dyn) based on average feet per mile calculated by total feet climbed/total miles.
1. Dyn 10-30 MOSTLY FLAT
2. Dyn 30-50 ROLLERS + FLAT
3. Dyn 50-70 MODERATE HILLY
4. Dyn 70-90 VERY HILLY
5. Dyn 90+ EPIC!!!
