BMC U23 Mountain Bike Development Team (USA)

A core group of six athletes will make up the team.

On the men’s side Kerry Werner (Banner Elk, NC) and Jack Hinkens (Eden Prairie, WI) will be the senior riders, both with racing ages of 22. Joining them will be second year junior rider Tyler Coplea (Fountain Hills, AZ). All three were standout athletes on US National Team trips in Europe last season as well as some of the strongest U23 riders on domestic soil.

AliciaRose Pastore (Durango, CO) will be anchoring the women’s side of the team and will be coming off of a successful 2011 National Championship season. Rounding out the team roster will be MTB National silver medalist Grace Alexander (Boise, ID) and fellow podium finisher Shayna Powless (Roseville, CA). All three women dominated MTB Nationals in 2011 by consuming the top 4 spots in cross country.
