Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Broward County Community bike rides
Monday Nights 8:00 PM meeting at Cooley's Landing
450 S.W. 7th Avenue
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312
We start at Cooley's landing, do a circular ride around Fort Lauderdale, including Sailboat Bend, Riverside Park, Rio Vista, Las Olas, The Beach, Coral Ridge, Vic Park, etc... The ride will end at Tap 42 for Monday Night Prohibition burgers.
All suggestions to make this ride fun, interesting, safe and highly visible encouraged. We'll ride at a pace of approximately 17-20 mph and up with the goal to increase our speed and strength. We want to make mirsa work, but at the same time encourage beginning riders!
About 15 miles,
total riding time 1.5 hours+... So, the ride itself, not counting the camaraderie at Tap 42 immediately following, should end around 9:30, for those of you (like me sometimes) who have somewhere else to go to...
We meet at 8:00, ride off at 8:15, if you expect to arrive later, we can be intercepted easily. MNPR group should arrive at Las olas/A1A between 8:50/55 , 20 minutes later the group departs 711 on Bayview/ Sunrise
All types of bikes and riders are welcome, you'll know if its for you if you try it... As always please be equipped for safety (lights are the law) and prepared for flats and other possibilities.
Radical Self Reliance will take you far in this life...
Tuesday Nights Meets in Holiday Park 6:30 PM
* 1150 G. Harold Martin Drive
* Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304
A quick, 20 mile romp around eastern Fort Lauderdale including Riverwalk, Las Olas, Bayview, Victoria Park, Rio Vista, 17th Street Bridge and Fort Lauderdale Beach. The route is primarily residential streets, but there are several areas where riding with traffic or in a bike lane is necessary.
This is a friendly and fun ride, but it is not a ride for folks who like to go slow, or those who aren't confident on their bikes. You'll be riding fast, at night, in an urban environment.
There are several extend...ed
sprints of riding 15+ mph and several short breaks for catching up. There are riders of various speeds in this group. Everyone wants to get a good workout, but we try not to leave anyone behind, try not to lose any newbies and try to fix all technical problems as a group.
We want to have an exciting, fast and safe ride and still get back to the park by 9:00. EVERYONE RIDES AT THEIR OWN RISK.
Bike: Fat tires or skinny. Do what you wanna.
YOU MUST HAVE, AT LEAST, A BLINKY WHITE HEADLIGHT AND A BLINKY RED TAIL LIGHT TO AVOID BREAKING THE LAW. Helmet and lots of hydration, also a smart idea. Bring a spare tube and snack and extra stuff for your friends.
Wednesday Night Ride Bici-Hangeo
Meets at Cooley's Landing 8:00PM
Elmo's Birthday Wish
The normal Wednesday ride, B-TEAM slow, with a twist. If you like to see 100+ bicycles causing abject terror in the hearts of motorists when they discover they must wait TWO WHOLE MINUTES for the Critical Mass to go by, you will LOVE this.

BiciHangeo Urban Ride is a weekly happening. A moderate, cool and breezy 9 mile loop on fantastic back roads, out to the beach and back around to downtown. Great fun with awesome people, what a great way to "get over the hump". If you do it once you'll come back for more...
Moderate pace, lots of stops, all bikes welcome. 8-10 miles total. Please have lights equipped on your bikes. (Helmets/locks optional)
