You guys controlled the peloton all day. GREAT effort! Buy Timmy a beer for us.
You the man!!!!

You make up part of real power house, Ted - great job!
It blows my mind to think you have THAT speed, over THOSE climbs, with THAT heart rate. Insane!
It was nice meeting you today, Best of luck in tomorrows stage 7.
Ted. . . it was nice meeting you today and BSing with you and L Maz at the start. . . That Barry Bonds guy was pretty nice as well! Thanks for treating us so nice.
Looks like you had fun in my backyard today!
Oh how I wish ATOC hit San Diego and Palomar again.
Nice job Ted! hey when you guys have dropped off the front after doing your work does anyone start considering getting the Strava KoM's in the peloton?
Whoot-Whoot !
BEAST!
Hey Ted it was really nice to meet you at the tour of california and hope we can ride very slow soon.
I saw you on TV today. I knew I should have gotten your autograph at Tony's.

How are you getting GPS on your SRM and no power?
Do you have a smart phone in your pocket or are you just Ted King?
Destroying it out there!
He's just Ted King
holy schnikes!
What Steve J. said!
You guys are good entertainment. No doubt about it. Especially riders like you who socialize a lot.
Super work, a kudo for Tim D as well...
The team is rocking out in Cali ! Morale must be sky high. Great showing in ToC. Still think you should come down to San Diego for a recovery ride :)
dude great riding ....not really thinking that is really W commenting on your results...unless he's under 34 :) Pretty funny stuff though...
Just so you know, four in a row is a "Texas Sized" Hat Trick. Surprised Bush didn't mention that
Ted King: all I do is win!
When do you get your own interview with Bobke or "rider profile"????
ha - not real gwb. that would be pretty cool. he's a biker! - http://urbanvelo.org/george-w-bush-still-rides-a-bike/
Not real? Sure, I'd consider myself 'unreal'.
Are you kidding? "W" is a Strava member? WOW...
What a great day.
Nice to see you racing my local routes and DOMINATING!!
You guys are putting the hurt on the field and doing it in STYLE. (Give a Kudos to Timmy for me).
Good to be King!
We were cranking the Bon Jovi for you on Diablo!
I was watching the coverage on line before leaving work, when you were closing the gap. I was like "there's the dude I stalk on Strava!". Way to go.
Neat seeing you out front man
Can't wait to watch you boys come by on the slopes of Mt. Baldy!!
Teddy's on Fire!
Strong work AGAIN! I enjoyed your interview as well. That was a nice bonus to the race coverage today.
Hey, you made my kid's day (year) today. He was on the road in a Davis Bike Club Racing Team Jr.s kit just before you guys got to Diablo, ready to run. You were at the head of the peloton and as you got to him you went "Aaaaaaaand GO!" and he started sprinting yelling "ALLEZ! ALLEZ! ALLEZ!" Thanks! He is still smiling and telling people that Ted King talked to him from the peloton. You rule. Also, congrats on a great race so far.
Awesome Matthew. Racing a bike is part of the gig. Making peoples' day is also a top priority! Tell him that he was fast. I love the Allez - and glad he heard me. Ciao amici.
You guys were awesome today. Also, tickled pink about Matthew's happy kid story. Class, all the way!
Only one KOM today? Slacking...
Check out how happy your newest favorite fan for life is at the end of this video... Thanks Ted. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzQX6zoCv4Y
Nice work today! Here's a replay of the Strava users data, with your dot presiding majestically over the front:

Major Kudos from 603.Live Free and Ride!! Great work out there.
Assuming your HR is calibrated on Strava... over an hour in Zone 4? Looks like mostly near the end, too. Hardman! What did you think of the Jamison Creek descent?
sagan looks incredible he's a super hero
Team Liquigas FTW
Sorry to hear of your crash, must be tough after all that training to now feel so sore at the race. Here's hoping you've some tasty treats to take your mind of it!
Peter Sagan will be World Champ this fall
Well-deserved win for Liquigas-Cannondale after setting the pace all day. I'm loving the New England representation in the peloton this year!
what a lovely ride
Nice ride Ted! You are pretty fast too.
Holy cra(m)p, man - you're burning it up! All those hours in the NH mountains got you prepared right nice. You're doing New England proud; especially the day after such a nasty-looking crash. You da man.
Great to see you crushing it out here in CA, Ted. All of us in SF are rooting for you.
Great job today,Pedal to the metal!!
AWESOME!!!!you guy's are delivering a solid performance.
Awesome recovery after crash! Hope you are ok!
Well done Ted. Super team effort to get the win.
Great effort!!!! I really enjoyed watching the race, except for the part when you got nailed.
Chapeau, nice effort to get your boy to the line.
"Bling" Matthews started it all, wasn't it so nice of Howes to run into you though! But then help you up!
Love the coverage of you and the team !
Gutsy ride all day long then blammo! Strong stuff indeed.
Hey, great effort to get Sagan back. Yeah, it sucks you got crashed, but at least your time didn't suffer. Nice job leading the team all that way!
Great effort Ted! Awesome effort getting Peter up there, great teamwork. Hope you're ok after that crash. That really sucked, great win though for Liquigas.
good job with the kom on coleman
You looked so frustrated sitting there on the ground.
Great bounce back playa
Great ride and teamwork today, you guys deserved the win!!
You guys are beast!
Hope you are not beat up too bad! Hang tough... (looked like a Rabobank guy touching wheels to your left)
Great job! Sh*t happens, I really hope it wasn't as intentional as it looked on the video, glad you're ok!
awesome ride dude!
Yeah it was bling Mathews - looks like he tried to ram you off the road - but I think he was moving right because a green edge rider came up pretty hard on his left as everyone was jostling for position - great job. - Sagans a freak!!!
Great job, wish you good health !
Amazing work to bring Sagan back in. You are such an asset to the team. crashing sucks but I am pretty sure this is not your first time at the dace.
shitty luck Ted. he slammed you! A phenomenal ride for you and the team despite the setbacks. keep making us Cannondale boys proud!
Nice work pulling and getting Sagan back up. Too bad about the crash ... no good deed goes unpunished. =\
Great effort. Team work very impressive.
Dude! I cant believe you pulled Sagan back up for the win. That was awesome to watch. Sorry about the crash.
Dingleberries on parade

5 hours, 6500 calories, 330 watts avg. World class.
nice work bringing sagan back to the peleton today! unfortunate that you got punted by matthews...
Killing it on the front. Nice work man!
Thanks everyone. Dumptruck Full of Friendly Comments. I read and appreciate every single one. I'm in a world of pain, but I'm making a go of it.
what happened to rest and taper before big races? Good Luck next week Ted, I hope you and Liquigas/Cannondale have a fantastic ATOC.
lol quentin, u see his average hr? this probably WAS his rest day. #tooPROforus
Crush em this week Ted - Team Oakland will be rooting en masse on Diablo Tuesday!
Good luck
I think he's is trying to rest and recover, but was again afflicted with SLEEP CYCLING and this happened.
Strong squad! Good luck!
Good luck Ted. Hey, are you personally gunning for a particular segment in the TOC?
Very controlled. Didn't even hit threshold once and barely even rode tempo. Crush it in the TOC!
Ted, Good luck to you and the team at the Tour of California.
Saw the crash today, hope you're alright! Congrats on the successful chase back on and impressive team win.
Sorry to see your crash today, Ted... hang in there!
Given where you are and the duration/speed of your ride, I would treat myself to a wine if I were you.
I used to go college in Angwin. Riding there is amazing. Good luck next week and all season.
See you next week!
Yes it is snake time, they get out on the roads. But when you do see one, and they don't bite you, that is hillbilly good luck. So you are looking good.
Beer hand-ups on Bonny Doon!
Good luck next week.
I hate snakes and I hate running over them. They freak me out!!! What did you do when you saw it?
BRING IT to Cal next week, Ted !
I came across a giant gopher snake on my ride home from work yesterday. They look like rattlers from afar. Scared the sh!t outta me. See ya Sunday!
Have a great race!
I saw a BIG snake out on the Sea Otter XC course a few weeks ago. I don't know what kind it was, other than a frightening looking slithery thing to this old Mainer
i bunnyhopped a big fat black snake on the mountain bike trail the other day!!!
Go Ted!
Impressive!!
i bet that was terrible out there on the Sonoma Coast today. ho hum.
Dang, that Coleman Valley climb is the best place around to have a fried chicken picnic. I should know –– I had some major picnic sprints with fried chicken at that segment. Also, cole slaw 4x5 intervals.
Welcome to California! Wish you the best!
Some of the prettiest and most painful riding I've ever done. Can't wait to go back this fall and do it again. Good luck on Sunday.
come on over to foothills of the Sierra's!
Frightening smile.

It's difficult for me to not see Dumb and Dumber in my everyday life.
Looks good. And I am sure you are familiar with the coffee/baked goody store in Oakville at the bottom of Oakville grade.
I agree with Kurt, we will give you a great workout to mimic the TOF
It's from the "big book of British smiles".
Hope you win a ToC stage Ted!
Please tell me that this is the start of you planning your routes simply to make pretty pictures on Strava!
Beautiful just plain beautiful
And you thought you weren't on a KOM hunt...nice work out there. Very impressive.
Welcome back to the peninsula!
When are you in Tahoe?
Chris, never. I'm training down in Sonoma and Napa until the race starts. The rest of the team is there, but I wasn't keen to go to altitude for only 5 days or so.
let me know next time you ride this loop i live on Valparaiso
Take THAT, 20-Minute Abs!
How was your treat today at the Bovine Bakery? Wanna come out and join the Roastery Ride tomorrow - 9am at the Java Hut in Fairfax.
If you stopped at Bovine I missed you by about 10 minutes!! I was heading South and saw you going North just South of Pt. Reyes.
Riding in the East Bay hill anytime this week?
HTFU!
Glad to know it was a worthy wheel that I couldn't catch on Sir Francis Drake!
Welcome back to California. We gotta get the word out:
Are you gonna be in Santa Cruz at all?
Tomorrow will be much nicer. I will be riding on some of these same roads. I will keep my eyes peeled for you!
there go all the KOMs....
Awesome ride!! We have rode some of the same roads...Preparing for the TOC, go give King Ridge a try and maybe a little Joy road...
Woohoo!
See you have the same problem with the Edge 800 elevation in the wet, can fix it by uploading to Garmin Connect, Enable Elevation correction in the Additional Information panel on the left of the ride review page. Export as a .tcx to your desktop and then upload to Strava.... sounds more time consuming than it is and I'd rater be out riding too but may come in handy if a Queen stage comes out looking like a sprinters day.
Or befriend a strava support gal....you're all set Ted!
Umm, I don't even know what we're talking about... but thanks Elle! You're the best. Maybe see you in the next few days.
It's just that your elevation was under-represented because the wicked wetness messed with your barometric altimeter, so I corrected the elevation.
Yes, I really hope to see you soon!
Crikey, that's some amount of ups and downs.
Sorry to hear you'll be leaving NH, Ted. Nice tour and inspiration to those of us who follow you from your home state. Good luck in CA.
Fellow New Englander living in exile (CA) eagerly awaiting your arrival... Tour of California in T-Minus 12 days...
TED - It was great to get a chance to meet you during your coffee stop! Best of luck in the tour of Cali!
To Elle - looks like you were the one who helped me resolve an issue a while back on Strava, too. You rock (including on the bike from what I see)!
Cheering for you, Ted. Be Safe, Ride Hard!
Any chance we can have you ride OLH hard once while you are in NorCal? Both you and Juan Pelota rode it super easy...It's our benchmark climb. Everyone knows their time up it, and people speculate daily on how it would compare to the pros. I know you aren't Pantani, but it would still be really useful to have a barometer of what a pro going hard would do (instead of having to simply speculate using VAMs).
What is OLH?
Old La Honda. Here's the segment. Strava record is 14:42. You climbed it with the Stanford team when you were last out here if I remember correctly (in 18:39).
Thanks for "arranging" my new profile picture
