Wow - that is epic - i can't imagine those dirt roads in the rain. Did they turn to mud?
Jesse Gaudet
Rainy is kinda a lie. I only had rainy for the last 20-30 miles, but it stormed like mad the day before and only quit 12 or so hours before I set out. The dirt was wet but real fast in most places. I just spun on the first segment, went hard on pumphouse but mellow for the rest if the 2nd segment of dirt. Surprisingly felt great enough at the mid 80 mile mark to attempt the KOM on the third dirt section. I felt like I had a chance until I hit a hole or rock and jammed my toes ungodly hard into the front of my cleat. Pinpointing that moment on the Garmin file looks pretty funny. Cadence, HR and speed just drop to what might as well be base miles. I finally won the Big Bertha climb though. I've been regularly attempting to get all the KOMs on that third dirt section since November.

That's awesome about the Big Bertha climb - you totally flew up it. I can see that lasting a really long time - at least two or three years.

You stopped at 199 km?!
Jesse Gaudet
Damn, double metric would have been a cool response to how far I rode. I'll have to keep that on mind next time I do this route.
