My iPhone 7, which, importantly, had none of the maps I'd been using to find my way along the route, would take me the rest of the way. With zero knowledge of local geography, I ended up following a more circuitous route.

It's perhaps too early to say, but Montenegro might just be one of the world's great cycling destinations. Much of the country's road network consists of empty one-lane roads through the mountains, which tend to be terrific fun.

It would seem low-light camera technology has come quite a long way since the iPhone 7.
