One chain short of a functional bike, I started my day by rolling 7km into town. Since it was Sunday and every mechanic and hardware store was closed, and the main bus station didn't seem to be receiving any buses, I wandered around aimlessly, brainstorming on how I might make it the remaining 130km to Rijeka. I visited a few bakeries, attended a Croatian Mass, drank a cappuccino, and looked for anyone who might take a bike donation and make hitchhiking a possibility.

On my third lap by the bus station, I noticed a man pointing his phone camera at me from his porch. I soon learned that he ran a YouTube channel that covered local happenings and he had a friend who was a bike mechanic. So he interviewed me over a can of tuna and some bread, while we waited for his friend to arrive. An hour later, I had a brand new chain, courtesy of TV Loki.
