Did you have a nap? Was the plan always to go out faster for the first half or so? I guess its easier to run at a normal pace than try and set out at average pace? Interested to know the method!
Sophie Kirk nope, no naps, yes, basically there's always going to be a natural deterioration in pace over that distance. I was taking more walk breaks towards the end (and being sick a lot 😳) but there's definitely no such thing as aiming for a negative split over that distance
