Not too many bikes out today in this weather

  2. Payson McElveen

Haha yeah. I came across exactly zero other riders over the course of 4 hours.

  3. Ken W.

When does your race season start what series are you contesting?

  4. Payson McElveen

My first "regular season" race will be the ProXCT here in TX in early March. I'll do the Comfort marathon this weekend, Tour of New Braunfels road race, and Rocky Hill TMBRA as preseason tune up races though. One of the main focusses will be the ProXCT series, along with a handful of World Cup races. I've got my tentative schedule up on paysonmcelveenracing.com now, minus the international races which aren't for sure yet.

  5. Ken W.

Cool, I check it out. I will be at comfort this weekend riding the marathon as well. Good luck.

  6. Payson McElveen

Awesome! You too. Bring the full suss if you have one. That place is getting rougher by the year.

  7. Ken W.

Im on a tallboy, I've done that race rigid SS. Its all gears and squishy parts from here on out.

  8. Ken Reed

Awesome Payson! Quite humbling for me to see your time on the Slaughter Creek trail, especially knowing it was part of a 50 something mile ride. Next time check out the Bauerle Ranch trail, you can see it in SW section of this ride : http://www.strava.com/activities/105929890

  9. Ken Reed

    Oops, I meant SE section

  10. Payson McElveen

That was a solid ride you did Ken! And it looks like I've got lots more exploring to do. Thanks for the tip.

  11. Melinda S.

You're missing warm bluebird riding days here in D'go! :) Way to go on the training-->wishing u much luck at MJ's. Have some fun!

  12. Payson McElveen

Thanks Melinda. And I can't believe the weather in Durango! Looks like I picked the wrong winter to skip haha.
