Psyched to race my first ultra in over 1.5 years. I had a solid run and tried to stay within reach of the CR but blew up and fought cramps the last 12 miles down. Great duel with Darren who kept me within sight nearly the whole way and then hunted me down on the last 12 miles of rolling downhills and flew by with about a mile and half to go. 

Fitness feels good but clearly I paced it a little too aggressively given the lack of running mileage and fast downhill running. 

This is an awesome course and event so thanks to Silver State and all the volunteers for their hard work.
