To God be the glory.  This was my second time attempting the out & back - I failed to complete this almost 3 years ago.  It was super daunting to re-attempt this, knowing I had failed previously.  The lead up to the race was pretty miserable.  Lots of anxiety and doubt.  The night before, I got pretty much 0 sleep because I was so nervous.  But the day could not have gone better and I seemed completely unaffected by the stress and sleep.  The taper tantrums were real, and the lead up to this was really challenging mentally.  This is the exact reason why I love this sport.

This is an FKT, probably because I am only the 2nd person who would want to complete the out & back.  But, I'll take it!
