For Gabs Rygd 🇨🇦🇫🇷 🤗! Nice race for fun, to discover the trails on Nanaimo (they're really awesome), and a chance to participate in a medical study that I learnt about yesterday. Knew I wasn't ready for it (lacking technical work and both long up and downs, and sleep, among other things), so took it as a tempo ish long run! Great to share a bit with Nick Elson, up to when my stomach turned upside down, went into management mode after that. Suffered as expected in the technical sections, rolled my ankle twice in the last long downhill avoiding tourists, but overall happy to discover the trails there! Some very flowy, some damn technical (HSCT - Brunswick/Lions like), and pretty steep. Great place for trail running! Thanks for talking about it and driving me around Dominik Klinovský 😊 Great to see you Jonathan Behnke, thanks for being out there!
