There's room to shave time off, but I'm proud of this. Feel like I ran well, just hit a little wall from climbers trail to summit and back to the end of the climbers trail. A couple tumbles while trying to get things in and out of pockets, the final one worse than the others right after leaving the glacier the final time. Lost a microspikes somewhere between the saddle and near the entrance of the glacier. Left a note at the trailhead. The snow patch at the Crux after the saddle was just melted enough to expose the very bottom edge of the traversing trail. Perfect timing. Glacier was in great shape, microspikes definitely helped move faster on the up, snow was quite firm. Put them back on on the way down it as well to be more stable but that wasn't worth it at all. Nice to have Eli's whippet head (no pole, just a jank micro axe), but didn't end up needing it. Big thanks to Emily and Cam for watching to make sure I didn't fall off the upper snowpacth or punch into a crevasse. First time going up that last bit of middle from the north side with no snow. Wow that is such a more pleasant downhill. Listened to all the models that said the smoke would be gone between 8-9 am. They were right. Great day in the mountains. Thankful. Grateful.
