A good long ride at a solid pace Dewey – well worth a dip in the water 💦 !
bravo Dewey: great ride
That looked a lot of fun..chapeau🚴👍
Thanks George. I did stop later at a golf course "watering hole" and had a pretty big lunch -- grilled sausage/eggs/cheese sandwich, and a cup of coffee. It did't seem to slow me down! Cheers.
Thanks Beat. I wondered if you know about the Garmin Varia rearview radar and light system -- as you seem to ride into the darkness these days! ; )) Cheers! Watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7lCQN8DaelY
Thanks Keith! A High Wycombe rider -- we lived near there in the 1980s -- and I learned to ride in the cobblestone gutters of narrow, busy streets on my daily ride to work! Stay safe. Cheers!
I have a Garmin Varia and is invaluable for rides particularly in country lanes especially when Electric or Hybrid cars creep up behind with hardly a sound!! 😊👍
Snap - I'm a Naphill / Walters Ash resident of the 80s/90s! Spent many a happy hour riding my MTB along the Ridgeway from Princes Risborough to Marlow and Henley-On-Thames!
George..then I guess you know all about the Chiltern Hills?! White leaf, Kop Hill to name a couple!!
Keith -- My Varia always looses the radar at 60 miles of use. I bought a external power source -- I guess I will need to carry it on long rides. Any other suggestions?
Been there, done that but in those days all we had was OS Maps - Strava and Cellphones had not been invented!
George -- Karen and I rode yellow Motobecans (sp?) road bike while in England -- with molded plastic, highchair baby seats on the rear wheel. Our boys loved the rides we would do along the river sides.
Dewey..strange! I completed a 77 mile ride a couple of weeks ago without any loss of power! A power pack good idea..charge whilst at coffee and cake stop..it’s the law on any ride!!!!😊
