After enjoying another fun (if not particularly well-paced) Parkrun, I was heading back to my car when I had a fortunate surprise encounter with C.J. Gabbe who was out running the bloop for the first time — going big with three bloops no less! C.J. wasn't aware, but it's the responsibility of the mayor to escort any first-time bloopers to ensure they have a fabulous time and become lifelong bloop devotees. I dutifully turned around and accompanied him; since it was already his third loop, he was unlikely to get lost, but we had a nice time catching up and discussing the finer points of blooping, like the age-old clockwise vs widdershins debate.
