Turned out Bandelier is almost completely closed, would have helped if NPS actually linked the full closure orders on their webpage. Still had a great run. Went up high into Valles Caldera and heard some Elk bugles. Saw some good bear scat and might have smelled the bear itself. Found some other great trail segments on and near the perimeter trail. Harvested a few rose hips I want to plant. Saw tons of downed ponderosa needles and oak leaves from the big rain/hail event. Felt like fall!
