If you look up Singapore on the map ull get what i mean by small - heck its tiny! Its not uncommon to see people doing the same routes over and over to clock distance.

Yes it is possible. The tiny islands around are accessible and I've done it and so have many others. Night is a tad challenging due to poor lighting and heavy vehicles.
Some of us who ride competitively ride up north, across the border into Malaysia. Usually in groups as its a little chaotic due to general security etc. For me and my wife we are planning a tandem easy trip / tour next year in NZ... Hopefully there will be one. ;)

Nope. I ran the same route as i found the distance just right to hit 50km. Singapore is a small small place.
