Beautiful day’s walk.‍ No doubt this will be the highlight of our six days on the GR between Quillan and Foix. Brilliant sunshine all day once we’d climbed out of the valley fog, gradually ascending a broad ridge from which we could look down on both sides from time to time. Quite varied walking with panoramic views in the second half preceded by lovely mixed forest. Some mud especially on the high pasture but nothing like Basque laneways in the Spring or some Tasmanian tracks all year round. 😉
