Place goal: top 10, but a near miss with 15th ❌

Not great not bad. Off the lead pack pretty quick, but there was no way I could keep up with my current fitness. Legs felt weak and I was tasting blood a mile in. Had to stop for a minute at mile 5 to work a cramp out ☹️. But otherwise things went according to plan (special shout out to the anti-poop pill) and I was able to rip the exceptionally techy sections. All fours for a good amount of this. Also having us run a mile in pure sand was RUDE. 

Course was jaw dropping, at least according to the race brochure. I was busy studying the ground and only on a couple occasions did I notice the yawning chasm just off to my left. Happy with this close to my demo trail season. More to come!
