2nd fastest marathon for me behind Chicago 2023 and ahead of Boston 2023. Course best (3:14 2019, 3:17 2022).

That continues to be a hard course. Somehow that was the most consistent race I've ever run with the best race plan execution ever (aside from lacking 2.3 seconds per mile to hit my A goal). My overall goal was to keep power between 300W and 310W, take the uphills somewhat easy, and recover on the downhills, which was mostly successful. I handled the 5th Avenue climb better than I ever have, but struggled with leg muscle stiffness in the park. 59th street brought some abdominal soreness as I forced myself to go to the arms to keep up a semblance of a pace.

Started with Alison Steele. Said hi to Matt Choi and Casey Neistat  as I passed them. Bumped into Sage Canaday in the finisher's chute.

I can't believe that's over! On to drink a bunch of beer.
