After an amazing weekend on the coast with John, my legs and heart were primed for a poopants effort. So I jumped into a 30mi zwift race, problem… I forgot I took my front skewer out. So the race started sketchy and had to stop and put the skewer in and chase my pee pee off to make it the front group. Made it on right as attacks started and ended up getting into a break with a Zwift teammate who’s an absolute MONSTER. 

An hour of dying a thousand deaths, I avged 330 at 185lbs. Far from my best hour power but pretty good going into offseason. I had to keep lying to myself to stay in the break. “Just make it over this climb then you can drop.” “Just make it to mile 20 then you can drop.” “Just make it to 1mi to go and you can drop.”

This lie to yourself technique is money dude, it opens you to your full potential as “hold the wheel for another 40min” feels impossible. But make it 2 min is always doable. 

Outside of that little story, I’ve been quiet on social and YouTube but I’m editing a ton of stories for December. December will be a big content push before trying to figure out some cool projects for 2025. 

Speaking of 2025, JB hit me up about a potential reunion on a Switzerland impossible route. What do you think? I know I haven’t told that full story of why we split, as no matter how times I’ve tried to put it in words, it comes out as a vent session and is not productive. I think if we could figure out an equitable work load split, I’d be up for it.
