Free ride | This Ride | Vegan Thanksgiving 

Happy Thanksgiving from ours to yours! I hope you have much to be thankful for, as I am very thankful for you, helping me live an absolute dream. 

I know it’s late notice, but I’ll be leading a free ride this Saturday, Nov. 30th, up the central coast. Free donuts and coffee at the start in Cayucos and sagged by Fluid Hydration. 

STRAVA REMOVED ROUTE LINKS TO ITS OWN ROUTES? The 3 routes are public on my routes.  But it’s just the start town that’s different. 

EASY 40mi : RAGGED POINT 10:30

MEDIUM 85mi: CAMBRIA 9:am

HARD 115mi: CAYCOUS 8:am

This ride had a goal to burn as many calories as possible so I can eat all of the Thanksgiving food in 5 mi radius of me. I ran a 5k, ate 2 bagels with some strawberries, then headed out for a 50mi ride with nothing. Actually forgot my bottles back in Bass Lake so I had no water or food for the ride. 

Was able to hold 300w avg for the first hour which was neat, then held mid-zone 2 on the way back. As long as I didn’t go above zone 4, not having calories was never an issue. All fat store power ⚡️

Crushed a killer ride and went into Thanksgiving dinner in a -4,000cal deficit 😍 Meaning I got to eat it all. My family watched in awe as I put down a troft of food plus an entire pie. I’m their hero 🦸‍♂️

Chickpea tuna salad 
Roasted carrots
Olive garlic bread
Pecan/ Pomegranate seed / tangerine salad
And a strawberry pie with whipped coconut cream

My son turned 14 today, that’s wild.
