Rumours of my demise have been slightly exaggerated.

Consolidation felt like progress today. After a couple of days of being able to eat properly I was confident enough to take this on. It's tempting after an enforced break to feel like you need to 'make up' for lost time but that often proves counterproductive.

I can't say I was bounding with energy and enthusiasm from the start but I could tell from the warm-up that my legs were fresher than a mint so took the rest as it came. HR was a bit up from last time I did this, but I felt it was somewhat suppressed last time so this more what I would expect.

A satisfying one to round off this block, which has been on the whole hugely positive. A week of volume next (tbc) before things evolve again,
