My first Brevet since 2023. It was hard. Not just the cold in the morning and evening (-3 C near Machida), the wind and some snowflakes. My legs were done by the time we reached the Nebukawa checkpoint (140 km from the start), with 62 km yet to go and a time limit to make with no buffer. 

I basically already knew I wasn't ready for this but that it was a good preparation for the Trace in 8 weeks. 

I'm glad I rode half the course last weekend and took pictures, for which i largely didn't have time this time round.
