Prologue

I was so lucky to have Doug Williams join me today.  He showed me a gravel connector between Mill Creek and Welch Creek that was a lot of fun (reportedly, not 100% open to bikes).

I rerouted myself at the start because Doug was still operating on standard time and woke up an hour late.  So, I did what was supposed to be the second part by myself. Then I rode back to Fremont to meet up with Doug.

Leaving Welch Creek to the end with 80+ miles in the legs made it challenging.  But, with rain in the forecast, I felt very lucky to be out riding today!
