Windy day road Ride

Was supposed to be a recovery ride.  Trying to stretch out my back some and help loosen up from sunday trail work.

Got going late because going to be in mid 70's and temp was in low 60's start.  Temps dropping tomorrow, so yeah need to ride when weather nice.

At 11am got on pine road and had strong head wind.  It spring now so expect that alot on rides.   Figured if going out is wind then coming back has to be tail wind.

Was chatting with clay at holmes last week about hard to go fast on 12 or 11 tooth cog.  So had tail wind gave it a push today.  When coming back on pine got caught by train at crossing so had to wait 3 to 5 minutes.  Was having a good run but that kill that try (I called it sprint training).

Seen a guy bike packing, but he was moving fast on pine road.  My average got higher than expected on it being pretty windy.  Got in and temps were close to 80 degrees.

Tomorrow may not get out of 40's.  Got 3 new helmets and today tried my road giro helmet out.  Can't wait until I get these straps broken in on it.
