Relatively flat course with only a few climbs, but the scenery was beautiful.  

I was fairly sleep deprived and I wasn’t sure if I would really be up to doing this ride today.  Here’s what happened:  In my haste to get on the road Friday night after work to get to the hotel, I failed to pack some critical gear, including my lights.  Unfortunately, I did not find this out until I was at the hotel… at 10:30 pm. What could I do?  Well, I decided to go back home and get the gear I failed to pack.   It’s a 2 hour drive from Hemet to Santa Clarita (if no traffic), and another 2 hours back to Hemet.  By the time I got back, it was almost 3:00 am, and I decided just to take a shower, have some coffee, start getting ready for the ride.  I started around 4:30.  Surprisingly, I didn’t feel tired.  🤷‍♂️
