On skates I glided, like a penguin in a tux,
Nine point seven, not bad, not bad at all, I'd say,
Heart pounding like a drum, at one forty-five,
Up thirty meters, like a hill made of Jell-O, I'd dive.
Clear skies and seventeen, no wind, no fuss,
Twenty-nine point seven, like a cheetah on a scooter, I'd rush.
No sweat, no struggle, just a roll in the park,
A skate so smooth, it was like dancing with a shark.
So here's to the skate, and the heart that did beat,
A ride so fine, it was almost a treat.
