Hopefully forever — my knees could never survive that again. Silly, crazy, very challenging day on the bike with Sam! (Route was monitor both sides, ebbetts, monitor both sides, plus some extra to make it 5000m.) 

Some takeaways:
- I think nerds clusters should be classified as a performance enhancing drug
- Around mile 80 I went from feeling pretty wrecked to suddenly amazing. Idk what that was but I hope it keeps happening
- Multiple friend flybys make hard efforts way better
- Shoutout to the older gentleman at the top of monitor who told us about how he has “lifetime cramps” from playing football in high school without water, then immediately declined our offer for a salt stick after complaining of dehydration
- Shoutout to Sam for the quote, “I’m the sleepiest boy but I need to be the strongest boy”
- This ride was made possible by Thomas Churchill and Hannah Young’s van (aka snack cache at the bottom of the passes), Sam Abernethy’s companionship and ride coordination, and most importantly, Maddy S’s 10/10 loaner bike 🙏
