Ring a ring of A roads.  I over indulged Friday night on beer and BBQ's so defo was far from riding fit Sat.   Due to "reasons" and logisitcs, plan was to ride later in the day so had some time to workout what my body was doing.   Left around 4 pm but wasn't meg motivated.   I'd planned a major A-road route but taking advantage of riding through the night so there was next to no traffic the whole time.  

Got onto the A52 before Grantham and left it at Boston with a KFC.  Joined the A16 + A18 upto Louth for a fired Chick wrap.   Then A18 all the way through Brigg and Scunny before head along the Trend to Newark and back to Notts.  A very easy, flat route, but because it was flat, constantly spinning the pedals - no power up, recovery on a coast down of any climbs.   100% glad I hadn't picked  a longer or tougher route as Friday night effects were strong.   But drinking, sweet sucking and feeding was far far better than it had been on other rides.  Still make the error of thinking "I'm only an hour and a bit from home, I don't need to eat" which is the wrong logic.
