I chose to start mom later today to avoid the showers. I also chose to not have her do any freewalking, not because I thought the surface would be slippery, per-se, but I didn't want to risk her walking into a puddle where it might be slippery. As such, I suggested that she go for a new PB distance, which she did.

Normally mom does her first walk fasted, but since we were on a rain delay, she made and ate her omelette. That was also a contributing factor to getting her to the 2.00 boundary. 

Mentally, she sees the addition of our little out-and-back on Inspiration as just too much, because it's still so new to her, but I strongly doubt that today's walk was physically more taxing than yesterday's, which was around .4 miles shorter, but included .8 miles of freewalking.

I'll let mom decide if she wants to go out a second time. She went into her bedroom to take a nap, but she had picked up a new book at a new-to-her Little Free Library and who knows how long she'll spend reading it before actually going to sleep.

Yay rain. Yay no squashed snails.
