Some of my followers might say this is my first "true" Prezi. Pretty solid day, weather was spectacular. I'm admittedly not in the best hiking shape compared to the me of past years, and that showed. Things got hard 3/4 up Madison and while I still moved pretty well, I wasn't moving as well as I would have liked. Still some solid PRs and Crowns along the way.

Met Mary Aylaian  just after passing Mt Franklin and finished the hike with her. We were considering Jackson, but don't think either of our legs were up for it. Do think I could have gone sub-8 which would have been a Jackson PR, and think if I was wholly solo could have knocked another hour or so for a 6hr-ish time for the "real" traverse.

Still think I could at least mid-5s, if not low- to sub-5. Weather was pretty good, cool but humid to start, moderately windy up high. Trails were mostly dry, though my shoe choice wasn't the best. These worked well at Loon, but traction wasn't great on the wetter rocks, and either them, my socks, or the combo gave me some nasty blisters on my left foot. Traffic was fairly high, lost probably the five minutes to break-7 standing in line for the Mt Washington sign picture. 

Fueling was pretty bad. Consumed 500 cal and about 2.5L of water during the effort. Both of those need to go way up for a faster effort in these conditions. All in all, very strong effort that I think should serve me well in the marathon build.
