Had been wanting to check out this area and borrowed the route from the event that I’d been curious about. Loved parts of it, but overall would not recommend the route. Way too many loose gravel sections for my taste on a road bike and hard not having a water fill station during the long climb through the canyon that gets hot. Rationing water never feels good. Beautiful wine country areas on many sections though. Also ran into a cool car show in Cloverdale for some unexpected small town fun.
