today’s MVP: eye gear 🕶️
truck kicked up a pebble so forcefully it knicked a spot of color off the lens. level w my eye! 

moderate to gusty headwind in most of last 20 mi. hard push, phew.

part of the euphoria of cycling is all the senses, it seems, are heightened. at one point i passed by fresh mulch. this was the manure-y mulch not the wood chip mulch. nonetheless the smell was delightful: full, rich, distinguished! 🤯 things were firing off in my brain.
