After yesterday’s grueling Grotto grind, I decided to give my body a break (well… sort of) with something safe-ish that still had some climb and killer views. Sulphur Mountain never disappoints - it’s a Banff classic for those of us who prefer hiking boots over gondolas.

I was surprised by how many icy patches there were, and even more surprised at how many people were out there in running shoes and optimism alone 😅. Had some great chats at the summit with travellers from all over the world - such a fun reminder of how special this place is.

On the way down, I joined forces with the Evergreen Seniors Group from Calgary - absolute legends! They told me I can join them once I’m “old enough”… I’ll take that as motivation to keep hiking for decades to come.

Today was exactly what I needed - a mellow climb, mountain air therapy, and a gentle reset after yesterday’s bruises. 💪🌲
