PSA for those coming from SF: With the road closures, the AC Transit F bus departing from Salesforce Transit Center Bay 32 at 6:45am could only get as far north as Ashby BART by 7:15am.  While other riders were slightly stunned, I instinctively just started running north upon offboarding.  I jogged a mile with fellow bus rider Avi to the start by 7:25pm in time for him to load in to the corrals before the 7:30am start.  This timeline was fine for my cheering, but I'd want to have taken the 6:15am bus had I been racing.

It was bittersweet for Run365 to no longer be the training program for the Berkeley Half, and I especially missed the central meeting point of the tent.  Only a sliver of me wished I were racing though, and it was still great to see and cheer on many of the usual suspects.  Inspired by Dominic Abadilla Rivera's cheer plan of 2019, I just tried to intercept people at as many points as I could: the start, the turn uphill after the Sather Gate, Fourth St. before University Ave., and the final wretched uphill drag back to MLKJ Civic Center Park.

My eyesight is so bad that sometimes racers spot me staring blankly into the distance before I can spot them.  Here's who I caught, 📷 of:

PMW, Adrian Jue , and I debriefed after at Royal Ground Coffee with fellow Disloyal Runner Dibya Mukhopadhyay . 😊 On the walk home, I found some discarded mylar balloons for someone celebrating their 25th (or 52nd 👴😊) birthday.
