KICKR BIKE ZONE2, ROUVY - Challenge Forte Village Sardinia. (Pushed beyond Z2 last couple miles, and also an unexpected Sprint finish that I tried to join in, having seen it after it already was rolling away.)

Sometimes you just hit the jackpot! We both came up with this destination separately without the other's input, so when we talked this morning, we were on exactly the same page, and it was the PERFECT DAY to do this short hike with amazing views. The trees had already iced up with THICK ICE that had them melted enough to fall off almost everything, and sometimes covered the trail with chunks as thick as 1/2". Then the rime ice had formed on everything, like growing snow flakes. The antenna on the observatory building had some rime ice as long as 2" out, straight into the direction of the wind from the starting point. We could not help but stop and stare again and again at this amazing creation of beauty! God is SO AWESOME in wisdom, knowledge, and LOVE to bless us with wonders like this!
