Another "Not a Yelo run" Celebrating 9yrs of Yelo and my Gold Coast marathon entry this week. Reasons why not a legit Yelo run in description.

Hilly warmup Flora Terrace to Star Swamp and back

Afternoon Goal to goal .

RHR 41bpm! 96.6kg. As usual I got 5 hrs sleep did too many toilet stops from 4am onwards , had a shower, and arrived way too late.  First K was ok 5.25. After that I rapidly  lost interest and did not feel like running , but hung in there to get to 5km and managed to get  to Yelo a few seconds before the 9 year anniversary party finished, and even managed to get some of the anniversary cake, very nice cream...

 Summary of my 5 K splits; 
1K; Good, 2K Terrible, 
3K even more terrible, 4K still terrible,
 and 5K very poor Galloway style Trash. 


Had a pre-6inch stare-off with  Bartsy @ RISING STARS AFL FOOTBALL ACADEMY   ...like the Boxers and UFC blokes do before their bouts... *ROFL* ;-)  Next week its Trashtalk time about how I'm going to destroy him at 6 inch and vice versa ... *ROFL*... Maybe...if I can make cutoff at the first aid station this year...this weight loss is making me feel confident... 

Then the obligatory coffee and chat,  where I obtained expert  blokes advice from an East European man that to attract Bosnian, Serbian,  Russian , Ukranian or East European women I need to grow the Mo, the Tash longer, shave the head, and have a little rats tail at the back to fit into the "Aussie Cossack" image better...... The Mo, the Tash, needs to be Chopper Reid style I'm reliably told... *ROFL* The rats tail is a problem, as I'd need a lot of time to grow the mullet first, (or a fake wiig)....

Buying a horse and learning East European words would also help... I'm not going to take up drinking vodka though... My Bosnian/Serbian/Croatian vocabulary has progressed a little in recent years though. Hvala. 

 Must make it to the 10 year anniversary in December 2026 . 

Reasons why this might not be a legitimate Yelo Run;
1. Started way too late, in fact after most people finished.
2. Started from a different location
3. ran less than 10km. 
4. ran slower than  7min perkm for the last K...
5 Not present for the official photo.
6. Stopping to take photos during the run, and walking...

Further social credit score deductions may in future be applied due to ;
A -not wearing an official Yelo shirt, especially on the anniversary.!! (major deduction!)*
B- Not currently being employed...although recent comments from Elon Musk regarding AI suggest that working maybe optional for a large section of many countries in the near future...*

*The shirt issue could be contested, since I was wearing a Gold Coast Marathon shirt to celebrate my Gold Coast Marathon entry being accepted 2 days ago, which is particularly momentous and celebratory because the Yelo group was a big part of my inspirations to enter GC earlier this year off the waitlist, and it is my only marathon finish this year. 

 Also the fact that it took me 3 hours in a queue of about 40,000 people to secure my entry 2 days ago when about 40,000 entered in 10 hours, and 1 minute into it at 0701 there was 22 ,000 people in front of me .... If you missed out, try the waitlist or maybe a charity or travel company option...
