Northern Michigan University Wildcats https://nmuwildcats.com/ hosted an early season low stakes/key racing opportunity for the Central Collegiate Ski Association (CCSA) https://www.ccsaski.com athletes at the Forestville Trailhead. Skate skied the planned course in reverse direction at an easy effort after completing other duties - starter/cowbell ringer, backup timer and Coach Sten’s student - as assigned by the race org.

Minimal debris and very good grooming! Trails had only gotten faster over the course of the day. Stopped many  times to pick up the pin flags marking the course and yapping with fellow skiers. Saw/Chatted with Christian Byar 🇺🇸, Matt and more after the ski. Very pleasant weather. Good outing.

Ski: Fischer XCS Speedmax Plus 186; Glide: Toko GHW 1:1 P Black:BP Blue Bjorned on  2025-03-15, and stripped and brushed on 2025-11-09. Swix GLW HS6 applied on 2025-11-09 and polished with a dedicated brush on 2025-11-11; Structure: Toko ST1 Blue
